Modigliani, three days in the wing of madness, is Johnny Depp’s second feature film, and will be released in cinemas in Spain on 21 March. It depicts a 72-hour whirlwind in the life of bohemian artist Amedeo Modigliani, known as Modi to his friends, following a chaotic series of events on the streets of war-torn Paris in 1916.
On the run from the police, fellow artists Maurice Utrillo, Chaim Soutine and Modi’s muse Beatrice Hastings make him reconsider his desire to end his career and leave the city. Modi asks his friend and art dealer Leopold Zborowski for advice. However, after a night of hallucinations, the chaos in Modi’s mind reaches its peak when he is confronted by an American collector, Maurice Gangnat, who has the power to change his life.
Silvia Palá Intérpretes has had the opportunity to interview the main character, Ricardo Scamorci, who played another painter with a busy life in The Shadow of Caravaggio, and Antonia Desplat as Beatrice Hastings.
